Dillsboro: The Artisan Village

A few blocks long and worth the walk for every one of them. Dillsboro is a village of potters, glassblowers and woodworkers strung along the Tuckasegee, with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad depot at its center. Small, quiet, and unusually creative for its size. A good fit if you want to be part of something tight-knit and do not need a grocery store on the corner.
